Saint Petersburg Vodka Museum

If you wander around Saint Petersburg long enough, you’ll stumble upon the Санкт-Петербург Vodka Museum near Alexander Garden and the Neva river. We almost didn’t find it. The address is either wrong or confusing, but if you walk along the building that contains #4 Konnogvardeyskiy, you’ll find it eventually.

Admission is free, but if you wanted to learn about the history of vodka in Russia, you’ll need 150 rubles. Another 300 rubles gets you the vodka tasting – 3 shots and some snacks. Actually quite a good value, we thought. The snacks included herring on a cracker and lard on a cracker the day we went. The vodka is served in frozen shot glasses.

I loved it, but that’s because I like vodka. Tom and Katy participated because they needed to drink vodka while in Russia… to my great joy.
