(Updated 5/31/15, see the bottom.)

Katy bought me some Bluffworks Originals for Christmas and I pretty much didn’t take them off for days after I got them because they’re so comfortable. And because so many people kept complimenting me. Shortly after, they saved me, big time, because my friend totally spilled Cabernet on them at a party. I ran to the bathroom, got naked,* and washed and rinsed them with hand soap in the sink. The stain came out easily and I put the pants back on, wet, but the best part was that my pants dried completely within an hour. I couldn’t believe it.

* technically not all the way

Quality:
Superb. The fabric and stitching feel great. They stretch really well and are super durable so you could easily wear them for any outdoor adventure. (Bluffworks markets them this way as well.)

Bluff Works Pants with Nice Shirt, belt, dress shoes

Style:
They look great. They lean more toward a dressy look, and go really well with button down shirts tucked in or loose. Or with a t-shirt. I’m pretty happy with how flexible they can be. Above: With Ex Officio travel shirt and classy black shoes. Below: Nike Tee and Merrell hikers.

Drying time:
As I explained above, these dry fast. If you immersed them completely and then left them on a line, it would take longer, but I was dry in less than two hours while wearing them wet.

Cost:
I think mine were $95, which is a lot, but I don’t feel cheated at all. REI brand quick dry pants with no fashion value at all are about $60 anyway. I think the extra $35 is worth it.

How do they look with a jacket?
They look good. I look awkward. Thanks for this, wife.Bluff Works Pants with Jacket

Update, 5/31/15: While wearing these hiking the Kepler Track in New Zealand, I tripped on a steep downhill with a 30 pound backpack, and skidded down the trail on my knees. My knees were beaten up, but my pants didn’t rip… they didn’t even have a mark! Jeans would have split for sure.  I’m now in France, and I’ve worn the pants for a new record, 6 days in a row. They work with everything. The perfect travel pants.
